The sun was shining and the sky was a glorious blue, icy cold but stunningly bright and joyful!
So Dave and I, eventually, went for a drive to Looe for a couple of hours. We even had to use the sun visors for goodness sake!
We left as the sun dipped behind the hills and drove home squinting in to the low lying sun as it headed for the horizon. We parked up in Lostwithiel so Dave could go and visit Karen at Jefferys and I went to visit Amanda in Lost in Books… it was lovely to catch up and she is a kindred spirit about Christmas. So a lovely afternoon.
We got home as the mist was settling into a beautiful light and would eventually become dense fog. But at dusk it was magical.
For tea it was traditional Turkey Curry time followed by Christmas Cake…. this has all got to go ready for the new habit of eating healthily after this weekend.
I also decided to do some research on a Cornish Coastal sketching project that I want to do in my concertina sketch book that I was bought by my lovely friend Debbie when we moved and this project feels like a perfect one for this book. I virtually travelled around the coast starting at Saltash in the far East all the way along the south coast to Lands End and then up to Sennen Cove and along the north coast to just past Bude. There are 100 steps along the route so it’s going to take most of the year to complete!
Goodness me another mega project!
